Pre-Fest Events
We are happy to offer the following pre-festival events in collaboration with local businesses to highlight our talented facilitators and spread community reach.
Community Collaboration
with Amy from KYF and Dance Wave feat. Elkemist
Wednesday 21st August
Lakeside park (in front of the canteen, bridge end)
By donation, under 18 / over 70s free
Cash and etransfer available on the night
We’re thrilled to present our next community collaboration at Lakeside Park with Dance Wave this upcoming Wednesday – be sure to enter in the draw on the night to win a FREE full weekend ticket to the festival, and join us as Amy from KYF leads us through a quick yoga flow at 6.45pm, before we dance with Elkemist.
Elkemist (Jase Aether, co-founder of Dance Wave) will provide the live soundtrack to support the yoga practice, and we’ll then flow directly into our voyage through dance. As a multi-instrumentalist DJ who plays many-genre dance journeys rooted in mystical sounds, Elkemist incorporates live looping with didjeridoo, vocals and percussion. Whether it's a sacred gathering, festival set (Shambhala/Wicked Woods), or an ecstatic dance, expect a journey across space and time, inspired by sounds from around the world to encourage dancers to move beyond the perceived limits of their bodies and minds.
