Intention of Kootenay Yoga Festival

Our intention for the Kootenay Yoga Festival is to strengthen the connection between our surrounding communities & local businesses as a way to provide access to all who wish to explore mindful living. This all-ages weekend festival will give attendants the opportunity to immerse themselves in an array of classes, workshops, educational talks, art, culture & more. Surrounded by the glorious mountains and nature of the Slocan Valley (slhu7kíń - Sinixt təmxwúlaʔxw [homeland]), participants will be able to enjoy a semi-outdoor gathering and learn more about the traditional territory that we call home today. The Kootenay Yoga Festival will provide the much-needed connection between community members, along with education to support optimal physical, mental and emotional well-being. We believe that this festival will bring more health, happiness and abundance to our local communities.
